The Proctology and Visceral Surgery Practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the internal organs and soft tissues of the abdominal cavity.

These include the abdominal organs (visceral surgery), the organs of the chest cavity (thoracic surgery), inflammatory and neoplastic diseases of the subcutaneous tissue and skin, hernias—such as common inguinal hernias—as well as all conditions associated with defecation disorders, rectal prolapse, or hemorrhoids (coloproctology).
