He remembers that intense period above all for the personal and medical care he received. As a token of his gratitude, he has now donated 1,500 euros to the oncology department at GPR Klinikum.
“I was very satisfied with the treatment and always felt well cared for. That’s why I simply wanted to give something back,” says Mr. Drott. With his donation, he hopes to support the work of the oncology team and express his personal appreciation.
Dr. Danilo Martinovic cared for Mr. Drott throughout his entire six-month treatment period. For him, the donation is above all a wonderful acknowledgment of their time together: “We are very pleased with this gesture. For our team, it is a special honor when patients remember the treatment positively—not only from a medical standpoint, but also on a personal level.”
The Center for Hematology and Oncology at GPR Klinikum specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care of cancer and diseases of the hematopoietic system. Patients receive comprehensive and individualized care. In addition to medical care, this includes support in coping with the illness and the coordination of additional care services.
For Mr. Drott, his donation is not just about financial support. Above all, it is a personal thank-you to Dr. Martinovic and the entire team at the Center for Hematology and Oncology: “I truly appreciate the support I’ve received here. The donation is simply meant to show that I’m grateful.”
