GPR Klinikum is one of the pioneers in digital technology

With a score of 72 on DigitalRadar, GPR Klinikum ranks well above the benchmark scores in Germany and Hesse

When it comes to digitalization, GPR Klinikum is among the best-positioned hospitals in Germany. This is shown by the latest DigitalRadar assessment. With a score of 72 points, the GPR Clinic outperforms the average scores for hospitals in Hesse and nationwide by up to 33 percent—even when compared to hospitals of similar size and ownership structure, including private hospitals. The hospital’s continuous progress is particularly evident: The DigitalRadar score rose from 38 points in 2021 to 61 points in 2024 and now stands at 72 points. This means the GPR Klinikum has nearly doubled its score within five years.

“This result impressively confirms that we are on the right track with our digitalization strategy. A score of 72 points—a result well above average—is a strong recognition of the work done by our employees. At the same time, we view this result as an incentive to consistently advance digitalization at GPR Klinikum and thereby further improve our medical and nursing processes,” says GPR Managing Director Achim Neyer.

The DigitalRadar Hospital is designed to systematically and comparably assess the digital maturity of German hospitals. The assessment covers various areas of digital development, including structures and systems, clinical processes, organizational management and data management, information exchange, telehealth, patient participation, as well as resilience management and performance.

For GPR Klinikum, digitalization means far more than simply introducing individual technical applications. The goal is to integrate digital solutions into workflows in such a way that they create tangible added value for patients and staff alike. This includes, for example, networked information exchange, the structured use of data, and digital support in medical and nursing processes.
